Years ago I had a PX-330 but never really used the self accompaniment. I know the CASIO PX-360 is also an 88key arranger $899 USD MAP. I use it for generating song ideas when writing songs. I have a Roland module BK-7m that I can run from any midi capable piano. It's quite popular I seen quite a few youtube videos using this model or its predecessor DGX-660.

Somewhat similar in style and functionality to the Roland. Maybe I'm just being picky :-SĬasio AP-650. For whatever reason, I also don't care for the off-white ivory-style keys the Rolands have. Unfortunately, the Costco-equivalent piano, the RP-500, which is currently on sale for $1200, does not include the auto-accompaniment feature. Not as many controls as the Casio (I want my kids to be able to explore without having to read a complicated manual!), but overall seems to hit the mark. Better cabinet piano, probably better sound too. I don't like the fact that the sheet music stand goes beyond the back of the piano, thus requiring me to offset the piano from the wall. Price is very good though at ~$800 with bench. Has nearly all the features I want (except Bluetooth), but it's not the best sound engine, and it's not a true cabinet piano. Unfortunately, from what I've been able to find, there are only a few small handful of options available right now:Ĭasio CGP-700. My budget is ideally <$1500 USD, but I can go a bit higher if something really hits the nail on the head. Thus, I'd ideally like this to have a relatively nice cabinet and have good sound.
However, I would also like this piano to be a nice piece of furniture and last a long time. I spent hours as a kid playing with these, and think that my kids would enjoy as well, and thus I'd like to make sure whatever I buy has this feature.
When I was growing up, I had a nice digital piano that had all sorts of voices, rhythms, and auto accompaniment features. I'm in the market for a piano partly for myself, and partly for my young kids.
